Niagara’s Choice High School Scholarship Program
Niagara’s Choice is dedicated to helping with the financial well-being of the community. By offering scholarships to members, graduating from high school, we are investing in the future of our youth.
Each year Niagara’s Choice gives out eight (8), $500 scholarships, and each applicant is also entered into the NYS Credit Union and Erie Niagara CU scholarship programs. The credit union also participates with the New York State Credit Union and the Erie Niagara Credit Union chapter. This makes the individual eligible to win more scholarship money.

Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be high school seniors who:
- will be attending college for the first time in the fall of the year application
- will be enrolled in either a two- or four-year college; and
- are a member of Niagara’s Choice FCU
January is the deadline for students to submit applications to the credit union. Students must be a member of Niagara’s Choice and complete the application with an essay.
Applicants meeting the above requirements will have the applications forwarded to NYS Credit Union Association for an additional opportunity to win and then on a local level Niagara’s Choice special committee will review for winners. Stop into your local branch for the details and application.
Membership to the credit union is open to those who live, work, worship, or attend school in Niagara or Erie County. All that is needed is to fill out a member application and open a shares savings account for just $5.00.
